Banana Sambuca Sundae
This is a grown up version of the ice-cream sundaes that you remember from childhood. It’s a sort of Eton Mess meets Banana Split! Easy to make and even easier to eat. This does work best and looks good too, if you use Sundae dishes - you get to see the layers.
Ingredients
-
3 small meringue nests
-
1/2 tub of vanilla ice-cream
-
2 bananas, chopped
-
Handful of toasted almonds

2 squares of chocolate - works best with thin, large squares

Directions
-
Toast the almonds in advance in the oven - takes about 10 minutes at 200C.
-
Crush a couple of meringues into bite size chunks - how many depends on what you have bought, but you need the equivalent of about two handfuls when crushed.
-
Layer meringue, ice-cream and bananas until you reach the top.

Drizzle with the banana sambuca, careful this is powerful stuff.
