Brangelina’s Miraval Prepare to Launch a New Rosé
Whilst the famous couple may no longer be together, they do still jointly own Château Miraval. The estate is 500 hectares and reportedly cost the couple $60 million in 2011. They launched Miraval Rosé in 2012 and within five hours of the release of its first 6,000 bottles they were sold out. 2018, the sixth year of Château Miraval was claimed by the estate to be the best vintage to date.
In March, the estate will be launching Studio by Miraval. Studio is a blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle and the lesser-known grape Tibouren, like the Miraval Rosé, is made in partnership with the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel. Miravel have a famous minimalist approach to design and the new rosé will have a new sleek and thinner bottle. The name was inspired by a famous occupant of the château, jazz musician, Jacques Loussier. He owned the château in 1977 and added a recording studio to the estate. Still in operation today, the likes of Sade and Pink Floyd have recorded there.
